Around 32 weeks, call me a bad mom to be, but I was over being pregnant. I had horrible heartburn where even water would trigger a fiery wrath all through my insides. I couldn’t eat any of my favourite foods – Indian, Hakka, Italian (pizza included). I had horrible rib pains where I couldn’t sit for longer than an hour without having sharp pains, so going out to nice dinners or for a movie were out the window. I was desperately hoping upon full term (37 weeks) she’d come out at any time. Read More

I’m 38 weeks and counting down the days until my baby girl arrives! Believe it or not, I’m actually looking forward to labour pains to commence, just so it means that she can make her big debut. Hospital bags are packed, nursery is set up, now all we need is a baby. And so we wait, as patiently as possible, although, “How to induce labour naturally” is probably my top google search at the moment. In the meantime, I’m delighted to give you nursery tour! Read More

On the lovely and sunny fall afternoon of Sunday, November 6th, my mother and mother in law hosted my baby shower at the beautiful Paletta Mansion in Burlington. My husband and I spent a lovely week in Turks & Caicos, home to Grace Bay Beach, the most beautiful beach in the world. I’ve never seen such soft white sand and beautiful crystal clear waters, where there’s no seaweed or rocks in sight. It was a lovely experience, and we had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot while we were out there. I wanted some classic, evergreen photos to remember this special time in our lives by, with a mix of non traditional maternity pics in a bikini, as there’s a whole different kind of beauty you experience when growing life inside you. I share highlights of my babymoon shoot below, captured by Attimi Photography.
